Backcountry guilty pleasure

I like to bring sunflower seeds with me and munch on them when glassing. Nice and salty and keeps the morale up if it's getting a little cold or I'm not seeing anything I have a tag in my pocket for (very likely)

A backpacking pillow of some kind. Trying to sleep on balled up clothes has always been miserable for me.

Fresh fruit as others have said.

Favorite candy (Peanut M&M's for me)

Beer.

Hike in a few miles, set up camp. Hunt for the day. Empty pack other than essentials to keep me alive, run back down to the truck in the dark and bring a case or two of beer and a few slim Jim’s back. Repeat resupply every few days as necessary.

Flask with some bourbon, nicotine in nearly any of its beautiful forms. But those are essential for proper function of my mind and body.

My real guilty pleasure is a nice fire; I'll carry an axe, saw, or both to ensure I have one every night.

An orange. I know calories per ounce it’s probably as bad as it gets, but there’s something about having fresh fruit after a week of dehydrated garbage that really can brighten my day.
+1. I usually stop in town on the way and get a burrito and some apples/oranges. Really helps with morale after the hike in!
