AZ Hunters - Do you use floorless tents?

Hey you guys from AZ. Do you use floorless tents in the mountains? I used to live there and camp alot (lates 80's) and I don't remember a tick problem, but I was always in a tent with a floor. I am paranoid as Oklahoma is tick heaven.

I did it last December. You better have a UL bivy to sleep in to keep the critters out! I didn't and had a close call with this guy!

A tick would be my last concern in a state like Arizona! Picture above says it all. Along with things that slither!!

Scorpians, Rattlers etc IDK if i would do floorless. Atleast I'd have a bivy sack

On a warmer night in the Catalina's last fall, my grandpa had part of sleeping bag touching the ground and a centipede crawled in and tagged him twice. The poison isn't deadly, but this arm was MIA for a few days, and the secondary infection took a month to heal. The bug looked like a demon, and moved faster than he could walk.
