I don't think that was how that statement was implied, Atlas didn't need to give us a great deal but they did. I'm sure this group buy is a very small percentage of their current orders and they have bigger fish to fry at the moment. This is completely typical of how group buys work. As someone who deals with US and Asian customs on a daily basis there is not much Atlas can do at the moment IF what they are saying is true. It is also completely acceptable Asian business practice for manufacturers to give false ready dates and even change established buyer/seller contracts as they please.

Too many whiners on here lately...

If that is true then tell me one store that sells their coolers?

It doesn't matter how small a group or what price is paid........dissing your customer base is never a good idea. I guess "repeat business" just isn't in their business model.

After his reply......I'd go spend the full price on a Yeti before I'd buy his Chinese knock-off.

I always love it when a company comes out and says they don't need their customers to survive.

All, I am not "the company". I said it, they didn't. I have edited that text from my posting so it no longer will seem confusing.

Best to all,

Have fun. Enjoy the Yeti.

Thanks for setting this up for us GotDraw?!!!

Anyone have a method they've thought of to help others, who are not happy already, get out of this group buy? By that I mean, if someone got in, but wants to get out now due to the unexpected delays, is there a way someone else could buy their order? I'm thinking I made a mistake not buying another cooler. I am not in a rush, so the delay is of no concern to me. Could I PayPal someone their buy-in price, then have Atlas just ship to me? Obviously the buyer (who I am buying from) would need to contact Atlas to change their ship-to address....anyone else thought of something similar?

My sense is that this starts to become a logistics/tracking and liability quagmire... doubt that Atlas will want to be in the middle of it.

You do realize Yeti is an overpriced knockoff, right? They weren't the original producers of the rotomolded cooler, just master advertisers for it.

If you wanted the cooler on time you should have went and bought a cooler cash in hand and cut out the shipping problem. Things happen just way it goes. And I would bet your life has not depended life or death with or without and thats for Any of ya Thats gettin your panties in a bunch cause it wasn't at your doorstep pronto 7/21

With no more invested than a phone and a laptop you too can have your own Outdoor Sports Equipment company selling tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, full clothing line, full optics line, arrows, broadheads, and coolers.

The "don't need this business to survive" was GotDraw's statement, not Atlas. He conceded his post was confusing.

I too couldn't tell what was from Atlas or him. The bolding etc made it hard to tell. But he cleared it up, it was not from Atlas.

Sure. I have a "Made in the USA" IRP Outdoors cooler that I've had since before Yeti even started. But I never saw one that looked like the Yeti until Yeti came out. Considering that the Atlas looks very much like the Yeti, I'm guessing Yeti didn't copy them.

Their customer service did respond to one of my emails.
My issue is I have moved since I placed the order. I have repeatedly told them not to send to old address, it will be stolen. No response on that issue.
I work for a company that imports many of its' products. More than a few times customs has caused us issues.
