Athlon Rangecraft Chronograph at S&S Archery

@S&S Archery (Rob), is there any update on the next shipment of these?
I have not seen them ship from Athlon, but we are expecting to get enough in the next few days to fulfill all current backorders. Hoping its friday, but could be early next week. Looking forward to having them on the shelf!

-scratch that. new update from Athlon is late next week, so we'll start shipping the following week. So somewhere around June 10th. Sorry guys.

No update on these yet I assume?

Nope. The only person I’ve heard of getting an update was S&S Rob and he said he randomly got it just by checking everyday. That was a week or so ago? As of today mine shows no update available and it’s still on the .1

I was referring to the backorders being shipped

Would really be nice to get some true archery tests on these. A compact rangefinder like this is only a "nice to have" purchase for me and the Garmin price doesn't make that cut.

I just got my Athlon about a week ago and the firmware version is .64 I believe (if I read it correctly). I plan on doing some shooting today with it. I have nothing to compare it to so I won't know if it is exceptionally accurate or not. I will be testing nothing but handloads that I can make good guesses what speeds they should be at, but I will need to depend on the Athlon to give me the speeds and then do the ballistic calculations to extend the range out to 200+. I have been waiting for this unit ever since it was announced at Shot Show.

I’m interested to see how these stack up against the Garmin! The Labradar with the sensor going to the gun to read the shot is getting old.
