As most know Aron left Rokslide as an owner last spring. When he left we talked about doing something on Rokslide that could still showcase his epic adventures and a place where he could talk gear with no strings attached! Well here is it.

http://www.rokslide.com/aron-s-corner

It will be under construction and changing over the next few weeks. So please be patience.

Very excited for this. His opinion holds a lot of weight in my world. Probably going to take awhile to detail the past 6 months epic hardly describes it.

Good intro, Aron. I agree and hope the bullshit can be avoided. Looking forward to hearing what you have to share.

I actually think this will be better for this site and Aron then what it has been in the last 6ish months. I understand Aron has been busy but I also feel that he has bitten his tongue lately and chose not to comment on certain things, which is a shame because he is a pretty straight shooter and I value guys opinions when they speak freely and care less about people's feelings then honest reviews.

I also took a couple things from the intro video.

1. Aron, what are you doing with all those computer screens?? Spying on the Kuiu forums?

2. Aron does not like dudes who live in their mothers basement... Shots fired

3. Aron does not enjoy womanly chit chat

4. Aron really enjoys whatever that pink shit is in those Nalgene bottles. Crystal lite possibly??

All joking aside I look forward to more opportunities to learn new stuff. Thanks for what you do Aron.

This is awesome! I think Rokslide lost a lot when Aron backed away. I certainly understand the need to have sponsors but Rokslide sponsors should consider it a privilege that they need to live up too and should welcome criticism as a chance to improve their product and better serve their clientele. I look forward to Aron unchained as his input has been invaluable to me in the past.

I vote we call it elkreaper's corner in honor of him being unleashed and returning to his former frankness.

Great intro brutha! Looking forward to your input on the forum again.

I Found out about Aron on some other sites when researching packs about 3-4 years ago( his reviews were bang on for the packs he reviewed that I Later tried). At the time I was doing what most other long timers were doing with gear, making do or making our own but above all hunting, most of the time with crap stuff until it broke. I value Aron's input, he hunts hard, is tough on gear, which means its not pretty when the season is over ( I know a guy who stopped hunting cuz he knicked the finish on his bow, to say I was stunned was an understatement, same guy hates to get his pretty, top of the line, high tech clothes dirty) I get dirty, stinky and bruised; my equipment looks well used/dinged up and I can't get the smell of blood out of my pack bags and half my clothing. I like to listen to guys with similar problems.

Super stoked on this. Really looking forward to the info on training and nutrition. Nutrition in prep for hunts, but more specifically type of fuel used on/during your hunts (especially cuz weight and packability is a factor). And of course the fitness side. What type of training before/prep for a (or specific) hunt, and every day maitnence of fitness level. Much respect for the miles, hours, and nights spent in the field, and the willingness to share for the rest of us your knowledge so we can take things to the next level.
