Good for him.
I’ve never looked up the cubic inches of the exo packs but damn doesn’t look like they can fit much. We like to call them the hunting jansport. No dog in the fight, but I've owned several Kifaru packs and have always preferred EXO. Prob just a personal fit decision for each hunter.
As far as "unfortunate" and "seem" can't speak to those.
This thread and a few others should be required reading for FNG’s!This thread comes to mind…..
Who "mansacpes " Before a backpack hunt?
I can tell you that I look like a 10 year old boy when I go...full on manscape! Anyone else?rokslide.com
I agree, when Frank left, I didn’t care for the podcast anymore. I like Aron, but apparently don’t like listening to him. Frank was a great part of the team and I hope he’s doing good now, and assume he isHopefully. The Kifaru of 2015-2020 were the golden years. You guys were a great team back then. Still enjoy listening to the early years of Kifarucast.
Have you tried one? Way better layout than anything Kifaru makes as far as I can tell. They make a 7200 that you can add a lid to for about 7800ci.I’ve never looked up the cubic inches of the exo packs but damn doesn’t look like they can fit much. We like to call them the hunting jansport.
Good to hear they fit nice!

Winneris Hong still there?
Oh heavens no! The clients seem to like them tho! I think I’ll pick one up for a carry on and maybe for the wife since she can’t pack much.Have you tried one? Way better layout than anything Kifaru makes as far as I can tell. They make a 7200 that you can add a lid to
Man I hope they don't sell out to Vista
Yeah it doesnt seem to hold much. Great day pack Im sure. Or couple day trip.I love my exo pack but also agree that the bag seems to fill up quickly.
Who’s Aaron, I know an Aron but never talked to an Aaron at Kifaru.Aaron leaves Kifaru and the born and raised crew breaks up! Coincidence? I think not.
But seriously I've learned a lot from Aaron's videos and podcasts. The gritty bowmen podcast with Aaron is what got me into archery and backcountry hunting.
He has come a long ways and I sincerely hope he does well at Born primitive.
Without warrantyI’m just here for when people start dumping their Kifaru gear in the classifieds to “upgrade”
For a while I was on the fence about ditching my Kifaru bags and jumping to exo this season. There’s just something appealing about my impression of the community within and around the company. Seems to me like Kifaru has been losing their appeal in that sense the past few years. I’ll keep rocking with Kifaru, their gear speaks for itself. I hope they rally. When I started guiding I would say over half the clients showed up with Kifaru packs. This year was the first year zero of the clients packs were Kifaru. Speaking to other guides it seems they noticed the same as I. I don’t know what Exo is doing but most the clients show up with those packs now. Which is unfortunate because I don’t know if it’s just the models I’ve seen but sure don’t seem as good as a kifaru. Hope to see Kifaru make a comeback.
I'm not dumping any of my (olive drab) Kifaru, but if anyone's dumping any of their (olive drab) Kifaru, I'm your huckleberry.I’m just here for when people start dumping their Kifaru gear in the classifieds to “upgrade”
I'm more of a foliage green man myself.I'm not dumping any of my (olive drab) Kifaru, but if anyone's dumping any of their (olive drab) Kifaru, I'm your huckleberry.
