Just saw Aron posted a video announcing he’s leaving Kifaru to go work for Born Primitive. Didn’t see that coming but will be interesting to see how Kifaru evolves going forward. The company definitely changed after moving to WY. I’d be curious if it was a mutual decision or there was some kind of shake up with the investors he bought the company with

Unless Aron was bought out, he's probably just taking a step back from being "face of the company" . There is some joint partnership with BP and Kifaru, so he's probably moving to BP to work on product development. Hopefully he'll also push them to be an American manufacturer like Origin.

I feel he bridged his contract with Kifaru on some internal shake up which they don't want to disclose to the public. I wish him goodluck with BP

Be nice to have Frank right about now.
I was thinking the same thing. They need Frank to come back and save that company.

He mentioned something in his video about being in a bit of a funk and BP lit the fire under his ass which seemed to influence his decision to leave. Wonder what kind of changes we're going to see.

So he gets vetted for years to be "the guy" to carry the torch forward for Kifaru. Immediately moves the company from its roots to Wyoming asking main work force to leave their community to grow with him, stretches the brand and buys an outfitter to test gear and guide all the time, then he leaves them hanging...?

I suspect Aron was pushed out probably by the other shareholders like Chad/bj

It’s no longer a boutique company. If bender leaves I think they will be screwed.

Ultimately we will know the tone of things if you see him ditch his kifaru pack in coming social media postings.

I miss the old kifaru feel. They haven’t been the same since Frank left regardless of circumstances. In 2017 I was diehard kifaru but I don’t feel the same loyalty now. Their ops seem much more commercialized.

Duplex frames and heavy 500D bags are about to be a rare commodity

Wish them all the best....glad I got an Ark.....the most comfy frame I've tried. I hope they stay true to their customer base and not turn into Mystery Ranch.

Sad to see Aron go. I'm definitely confused by the last couples years of decisions. I'm curious to know who will take over and if the company direction will be focused on scaling size and reducing complexity or if they will go back to a more unique approach.

Either way I hope he is happy in his new role and kifaru continues to be successful
