Mechanics gloves are the way to go!
I wear heavy duty brush/work pants that don’t snag on the catclaw and mesquite. For shirts I’d go with the cheap camo button down shirts from academy for the same reason.
Expect wind and be prepared for unpredictable temps.
One guy said it right, they are where you find them and that’s typically up high in the morning and evenings. They like to shade up on North faces and under trees (if there are any) but they may come down to water mid-day so know where the water is.
Shoot them through the front shoulder, that will take out their running gear and they won’t go uphill.
