Anything to do near Dallas in May?

Dallas has probably the one of the best aquarium’s in the world. I would definitely give it a thought if you like fish/fishing. The bottom floor/aquarium has a lot of Amazon giants that you’ll probably never see anywhere else but tv. Each floor/level has fish from different regions of the world. It’s sort of interactive you walk along a path throughout the facility and theirs free roaming birds and mammals.

April, May, October, November are by far the best months to visit. I can't imagine a human not being able to enjoy temperatures in the mid 60s to low 80s with everything in full bloom.

July and August you can't do anything outside without a pool or lake.

It's too bad Texoma may be difficult logistics for a short Dallas trip.

You could look into shooting 3D at Cinnamon Creek Ranch if you're an archer. Last time I was there (2019) they have some good courses. If I remember correctly there's a Twin Peaks near CCR with their 29 degree tap.

Dallas isn’t Houston or any other coastal city
April and may is the only time it rains all year in North texas. I worked in sherman last year and I think there was 1 or 2 nights it didnt rain. I forgot about Cinnamon Creek too. Never shot there but they seem to have a pretty sweet setup

I’m going to be in Dallas in mid-May for work, I can add a day or two for something fun if it’s worth it but I’m a MT guy and don’t know Texas, having only been to Houston, so looking for input.

Anything worthwhile to do in May within a reasonable distance of Dallas?
I don’t know, I’m guessing Debbie is pretty old by now

Aquarium is a very loose word. It’s a very cool concept, but there are just as many monkeys as there are fish. You enter at the top of the jungle canopy and then work your way down towards the river. It is very cool, but if you’re going to see a bunch of tropical fish, might be slightly disappointed.

Go to Dealy Plaza and give one of the guys $20 to learn what really happened.

It is neat to see though.

Weather won't be too bad at all.
