Anyone having just terrible shipping experiences this Holiday season?

I made several orders over the past Black Friday sales… for those of you that also ordered stuff, how has your shipping experiences been? Not necessarily from the seller/retailer, but from the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx)…..
I’m having terrible luck so far. I think one of my bigger orders that was shipped via USPS is for sure lost/stolen… last scan was Nov 25th near the origin point and other than the fake ‘in transit’ updates (which stopped on Nov 29th), there has been nothing.
Also have a package coming via FedEx that was supposed to be here today, but that one seemed to stop updating three days ago with the last ‘scan’ in Kansas. I’ve had two UPS shipments that have been totally fine and delivered on time. I’ve got another smaller order from a more boutique retailer that was shipped via USPS and was ‘accepted’ at their local post office 2 days ago, but no origin scans or anything so obviously no expected delivery dates for that has been given…

I know the carriers are swamped, but it sucks when you order high value stuff for yourself and Xmas presents for other people, and you’re sitting there hoping it actually gets delivered….

That sucks to hear. I'm sure I'll Jynx myself saying this, but so far shipping times have just been longer than normal, haven't had anything lost or stolen.... YET.

So far 3 mis delivered packages.

Two coming to my house got delivered elsewhere and one for someone on my street delivered to me.

Makes me nervous for selling stuff on here because they are for sure marking it delivered, even taking photos on porches of the wrong house for proof of delivery.

In the last two months two packages have been delivered to neighbors, one has been in transit for over a month, one is a week overdue, one was delivered at midnight, two were missing items, one package has our address but isn’t anything we would have ordered. Yep, it’s probably going to be worse than last year.

For the two that are late (especially the one a month late) have you done anything to have the carrier try and find them? If they were ordered from a retailer have you tried to have them resend or get a refund?

For USPS have the vendor initiate a trace/lost package with USPS. That has kickstarted finding a lost package and got it moving again and delivered for me. Other than that one all good so far.

My issues are with Amazon Prime. Ordered a couple of items mid Nov that were supposed to be at my house NLT 4 Dec and they still have not been shipped yet. My gut tells me Amazon is dragging their feet hoping I cancel the items because they are large and I live in Alaska. This is not the first time this has happened. Even small items are now taking 3-5 days to arrive.
Canceling by me is NOT going to happen.
Once items are shipped we have good results with UPS and FedEx. They deliver to our front porch and no mistakes during the 18 months we lived here.

That one is especially interesting. As soon as it was ordered it popped up on eBay as an “untracked” shipment with a two month delivery window. It’s not technically late for two more days then I’ll ask to have it refunded.

The other one that’s a week overdue, the seller is radio silent so I asked eBay to force a refund.

There was another eBay order I forgot about where it wasn’t shipped and the seller was radio silent, eBay did refund that one.

I’m pretty confident the vendors I bought stuff from will make it right if needed.
It just sucks checking tracking on stuff I’m waiting for and seeing no movement.

At least my SWFA 3-9 SS HD showed up ok.

Shipping delays/lost packages (sorted on wrong truck or plane) are typical for this time of year. Frustrating for sure, but not unexpected! Any winter weather makes it a lot worse! FedEx and UPS have also made some recent changes to their pick ups that may prevent ppl from getting packages out right away (save money by only shipping on set days).

All of a sudden, USPS has sucked by us. Amazon has sucked too. Had the truck drive right by our house the other day with 2 of our packages and they never stopped.

Several people in my area are having problems with items from Amazon. I'm having the same problem.
Canceled one package. Reordered and got one item so far. The one I actually need. We'll see if anything else shows or doesn't
