Good on you sir.I watched two guys lay into a herd of bucks a few years ago in Wyoming from cross canyon. There were at least 4 hit and probably 5. They were shooting for probably 15 minutes must have gone through 20-30 rounds. I called it in and the warden hiked out there and met me. We both looked for those two wounded bucks for hours and couldn’t find them; you could tell she was incredibly invested and we each put in a couple miles zig zagging through brush looking for the wounded bucks. Never did find them or enough evidence but she tore those hunters a new one and they were sweating watching us look for blood and tracks.
I think it depends on who you get ahold of and how busy they are with other calls.
Please elaborate#4 for black ovis
I like big browns, I can not lie.On purpose?
Often these companies seem to have people in marketing and social media roles that are friends with the poachers thus why the partnerships never go away. I want to say MF was actually running many of his sponsors social media accounts thus why he was featured so prominently and never went awaySeveral years ago I posted here on Rokslide that I would no longer be supporting Black Ovis due to affiliation with Muley Freak and I still stand by that declaration. They will never see another dollar from me regardless of what they do now. Apparently not enough other people feel the same way because they continue to sell the MF brand. At this point I don't think anything will change via social media backlash. All these insta-poachers have to do is weather the legal and SM storms until people forget or move on to the next story at which point they will continue their shady "business" as usual.
Black ovis continues to carry muley freak products even after they’ve been convicted. Like the previous posters I quit purchasing from them because of this. Please elaborate
Had no idea but will make sure to avoid them in the future now.Black ovis continues to carry muley freak products even after they’ve been convicted. Like the previous posters I quit purchasing from them because of this.
A little off topic, but........
What helps turn this tide, in your opinion? I live in an area where this is certainly the reality, and some areas I would say are probably dangerous for our local wardens to operate alone.
More tips from the public? Simply more staffing? Just something I've been curious about
Dang that's too bad. I liked using their services. I won't anymore, however. Thanks for the info and heads up.Black ovis continues to carry muley freak products even after they’ve been convicted. Like the previous posters I quit purchasing from them because of this.
definitely in the minority though! Keep up the good fightIt’s honestly embarrassing how these guys represent Utah, we’re not all like that.
That makes a lot of sense. I appreciate your insights!Certainly more tips would be helpful. I would say the majority of our biggest cases started with a tip.
I can’t speak for all states, but would guess that most states could use a few more wardens. Montana has also invested in investigators; wardens who focus all their efforts into bigger, more heinous crimes. I know other states have, but guessing not all. This has certainly helped us.
One other thing Montana did was enact a wildlife felony. The criteria is set pretty high to meet this violation and is reserved for the worse. We still have plenty of poaching, but the fact that you could serve time, I think has at least made folks thinking twice before pulling the trigger.
Apart from crispi boots, nothing I would ever consider buying. Here's a list of his sponsors.

Willfully and intentionally breaking game laws to make a profit through social media is absolutely unacceptable and should be punished as such. Forfeiture of weapons, equipment, vehicles etc. is warranted in my opinion. After a conviction, I feel like anything used to earn to earn that profit in such cases should no longer be yours. They most definitely shouldn't be getting sponsored with free gear to continue pimping our wildlife for revenue.
Is this for real? People actually watch "shed hunting videos". How board must some people beI’ve watched a lot of Martin Chagnovich shed hunting videos, and every time that Conner guy was on there, he always gave the creepiest vibe.
