However it’s checked in. I killed a buck a few years ago with a broken brow tine, making him a 7. He was checked in as a 7

Does it matter if a whitetail is 3x3 or 3x2? Joking ... also doesn't matter if it is 7 or 8. I'm assuming you are doing an Eastern Count and counting brow tines as well.

Points don't matter as much as Mass!!! A 2x2 with coke can bases is a better trophy than a spindly 12 pointer. Jmho
