Yup. NM is a massive ghetto. Gang bangers paradise.

No secret that NM is either dead last, or nearly dead last, in most things. Education, economy, household well being, you name it.

But hey - we've got the best big game draw system around, right?

You must be from, or talking about Abq. I would agree that city is garbage as well as all large cities in the SW

Ya Baby! Called the one shop the sells ammo and yes they have 9mm APC and 165 Non lead 30/06.
He sounded like he thought I was nuts asking if they had such common rounds. I should be be 1400 rounds richer

As far as my quick googling can tell, California is the only state with such a restriction.

How far must one travel just to get some ammo ?
992 mile isn't enough

Pick up whatever you can find wherever you find it.
Yesterday I snagged a bag of .243 Brass, some 100 gr. Partitions,
a box of .30 cal Hornady 180 gr. Interlocks and 50 CCI 22 mag. 40gr.
Wasnt what I was looking for but scavengers cant be picky.

California you have to take a number stand in line for god knows how long finally get up the find they don;t have what you want or if they do now a background check and if that goes thru you can buy one box only.

Not sure y your being limited to 1 box only unless thats a store policy. Just bought 3 boxes of 9 and a case off 500 in Central CA. Thats all they had left. Be careful bringing it back into the state they frown on it. Heard story's of undercovers sitting outside cabelas in reno busting CA guys buying ammo to bring back. Stupid. Who knows if true but I'm sure they aren't watching NM so good luck.

How would that even work? A cop sits outside a store in another state and then follows you to the state line to bust you? California law ends in California. Nevada wouldn't care who bought the ammo.

News to me that California requires a background check to buy ammo. That’s insane. I buy ammo almost every trip to the sporting goods store. Can’t imagine having to get a background check for it. Crazy libs

Thats how I picture it. Your right Nevada doesn't care but california cops do care. You cannot bring ammo back from another state. So I'm assuming california cop sits outside a gun store in Nevada, sees a car with CA plates and either follows or radios ahead to another cop sitting at the california line. The line isn't far, maybe 30mins. They pull you over once you cross for something frivolous and they start asking questions. Id assume they have an agreement with Nevada somehow. This could all be bullshit rumors but I can't put it past CA in doing something like this. Probably has more to due with gang members who can't pass a background check here so they drive a couple hours.
