In the trap or you were super fast on the bolt ?
They weren’t in a trap. I wouldn’t say I was fast, but they were slow.In the trap or you were super fast on the bolt ?
Awesome. Mine scatter like the wind once a shot is taken. Even suppressed they start running. I’ve killed 3 in single sit running suppressed ammoThey weren’t in a trap. I wouldn’t say I was fast, but they were slow.
I just grabbed a stainless tikka 308 and now you have me second guessing my scope choice. I have a 6x and a 3-9 sitting around and now you have me debating a 10x for this.Ha!
Well, that depends. In general very reliable action and trigger- Tikka, MRC. 18’ish inch barrel- light to light medium weight. Suppressed- OTB for me. Pic rings and rail, though with a Tikka the UM or Sportsmatch are good. A 3-9x SWFA, or fixed 10x scope. The fixed 6x SWFA is good if it is more for true hunting use- for all around hunting and range use out west I may slightly prefer a fixed 10x.
This one is a T3, 20” barrel, Rokstock, suppressed, SWFA 10x. It has muzzle forward can and you can see how long it gets.

Currently my main one is an MRC M70 clone 18”, in a wood ROKStok and SWFA 3-9x.
Top one is the Woodstock 308, the bottom is factory Marshall in 6cm.

A t3x chopped short with a rokstok and swfa is actually kind of light. Seems like I'd want to have a bit of heft on a 308 but I don't actually own one so how would I know.Haha. Those will all work.
How, get a ROKStok or lite, cut the barrel to 16” or 18”, get an OTB can and a case of ammo.

Is that combo just easy enough to spot hits with that the weight would be fine?
For what it’s worth, I’ve had SWFA 6x and 10x on my T3x 308 and prefer the 6x. It’s hard to spot shots as it is (even with a suppressed 308) and the 6x is a bit betterI just grabbed a stainless tikka 308 and now you have me second guessing my scope choice. I was able to find a lite 20”, otherwise I’d be sending it off to cut down to 18”. Already have the OTB can, you got any extra rokstok lites hanging around in the back seat of that truck?Haha. Those will all work.

Was looking at ammo tonight, some federal TRU seems appropriate
I’m curious - what modifications would you make to the master sporter stock?I would do a modified Master Sporter stock
Aside from gorilla tape and pool noodles?I’m curious - what modifications would you make to the master sporter stock?

Shush, he hasn’t cashed my check yet.Haha. Call Mike.
Finally acquired, the plan was to re-barrel to a 6mm… but the force is strong with this one.. View attachment 1008285
