ACTION ALERT: CPW Commission vote on fur ban

Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission at March 4, 5 meeting to vote on Center for Biological Diversity petition to eliminate sales of fur statewide. Basically a repeat of the failed voter referendum in Denver during the November 2024 election.

Coloradans for Responsible Wildlife Management is trying to rally Colorado sportsmen and women to defeat this petition. Email the commission and/or attend the commission meeting in-person if able. Sign up to provide in person of virtual comment against the fur ban petition.

I saw HOWL, RMEF, BHA, and RMBS all have action alerts out to members. Maybe more. Spread the word.

Fortunately, the Wyoming Constitution, Article 1, Section 39 states that hunting, fishing, and trapping is a heritage that, “shall forever be preserved.”

So, if you want to ban trapping in Wyoming, you can’t start with a petition or ballot initiative. You have to start by repealing a constitutional amendment that received about 84% support.

May you be unsuccessful in that endeavor.
