Gonna try and do my part in the morning. Shed hunting this evening and got 1k yards from a pack. Two days prior there were over 100 head of elk and a bunch of deer in that exact spot. I think they've got a kill, I'll be better prepared tomorrow.

Thing is, the units that are loaded with wolves aren't going to fall under the free for all plan. That's what's irritating.

While we may all want a reduction in wolves, this is terrible legislation that goes against the state constitution that says only Idaho Fish and Game will administer policy. Idaho is one of the last states left that is entirely managed by F & G and this changes that dynamic, for the worse. We don't want legislators monkeying with game management policies set by fish and game biologists.

The 2002 wolf management plan was designed to keep wolves off of the ESA, if this passes, it may draw enough attention to get them listed again, and out of the hands of F & G. Hopefully the governor vetoes this.

Edited to add: this is coming from someone who has a wolf tag in my pocket. If I'm wrong about any of the above, I'd love to be educated.
