I locked both bases down with Locktite 380. It's not as robust as a solid pic rail, but this setup makes it easy to get rounds in and out of the action.
Gotcha, yeah there is no way I would put a solid rail on one, with my blind mag it’s hard enough as is even with the clearance from a set of talleys.

Mini Shooters,

Is there a barrel/caliber you would want to pick up as a group buy? The balance will go to stock in our store.

We are building out LS Wild to fill some niches, and the Howa Mini is one of them. I love my little Mini and my partner just bought one cause he liked mine so much.
My 2 cents: Stainless! 6 ARC, 223 & maybe 6.5 Grendel.

I just jumped into 6 arc. I won an AR-15 in a raffle and didn’t like the gas. Sold the rifle and kept the brass. My son is 11 and is nervous about my 243 or 6.5. So I decided to build a rifle. After reading so many different posts went with the 20” Howa mini. Stockys vg stock, Talley rings, Timney trigger. Now for all the things to get to me.

When you guys talk about making the action smoother by sanding. Forgive my ignorance but where are we supposed to sand or polish to help with that?

The main bolt body, you can either sand it or use the route I took, spend a few evenings watching TV and cycling the action hundreds or times.
That smoothed any contact points up really nicely

I'm running the Warne hyperlite lows on the Burris 2 PC bases and have plenty of room on a Trijicon Huron with a 40 mm Trijicon Huron.

For funzies, I just slapped on a SWFA 3-9x42 with Warne Maxima lows on my Howa ARC Mini:

Edit: the Maxima's are bombproof, but heavy. There are other ring options that are lighter (but perhaps not as robust).
Thanks a bunch for swapping scopes and then a photo.
My concern was also with caps once on. All worry is put to bed.

I accelerated the process by cycling several times, seeing where it was contacting, a tiny dab of 1200 grit diamond polish placed on the contact areas, then cycled for 5min. Wiped it down, lube, test. Repeat process as needed.
Done in 15 or 20 minutes.
It’s smooth now.
