I got my case of 6cm 105 Berger Federal GMM today. Looked on Midway today and the price is back up to $48 a box from the $24 a box I paid! Glad I got a case instead of just a box or 2 to try.

My dumb ass drug my feet and missed the sale

It was $1.20 a shot with a $0.60 bullet. Had to jump on it. Same bullet as my beloved 215 that has killed many elk for me out of a 300WM. Hopefully my RAP 6CM likes them! Would make it tough to choose between my ARC and 6CM. Not a bad choice to have to make...

Some more 95gr tmk data out of a 6cm.
Wife and I double tapped a good boar tonight with the 6cm shooting 95tmks and 6.5prc with 147eldm .
Impact velocity on the 6cm was about 2700fps. Found the 95gr tmk stopped at the “shield” on the opposite shoulder. Both bullets wrecked him pretty good . Tmk weighed 61grains after being found .

We’ve got a pretty good system of counting down 3-2-1 and bang at the same time… he was the only hog out there so we just shot him at the same time

This was quite a few years ago but this is a mule deer I shot with a .243 and 80gr Barnes ttsx bullets. Shot was around 200 yards broadside. One picture is the exit wound. Deer went about 30 yards and fell over dead. It’s a bigger bodied deer than it looks in the pictures. I didn’t have any problems with the Barnes bullets but after that season I switched to the 87 gr Berger’s and the 95 gr Berger classic hunters and I was very happy with those. I picked up a bunch of 95gr nbts again to try out this year so hopefully get some more pictures. The NBT is what I used befor I tried the Barnes

I thought I might add that I have tried the Barnes ttsx in 300 win mag 257 weatherby .243 and the tsx in the 257 also. In my experience if you can keep the velocity high the Barnes bullets kill just fine with a well placed shot and I am a fan of them when I’m hunting for meat but if I’m looking to put something down fast and hard the faster fragmenting lead core bullets do seem to do more damage and put animals down faster.

I shot a whitetail doe with a 50 grain ttsx out of an 22-250 and it was nasty how much damage it did to that deer. You’d have swore I shot it with a 7mm mag. My buddy shoots the Barnes ttsx 130 in his 30-06 and they are downright impressive. Barnes bullets definitely thrive on velocity

If I hit bone with them I had great results but on clean broadsides shots with only rib bones hit damage was minimal. I shot 1 mule doe at around 150 yards broadside with the 100gr tsx in a 257 weatherby. She showed zero signs of even being hit and then she ran about 75 yards and fell over dead. It worked perfect for saving hides but when I haven’t hit bone the 115gr NBT definitely seems to put deer down faster
