I think it is around 130 when I had talked to him. Karl is pretty good about responding to emails, if you send him what you want done he can give you an estimate on cost
Did you go this route? I can't quite figure out what exactly is done when bushing a bolt vs opening a .223 face and if there's any advantage to one over the other

I did not. I picked up a Tikka 223 barrel that I am turning into a 22 creed instead. If I find a deal on another used left hand Tikka I probably will.

The wider release of 6GT ammunition by Hornady makes the ARC less appealing in a bolt action.

I'd guess that 6 GT ammo will frequently sell for closer to $2/ea like 6 creedmoor is but would be happy if i'm wrong. 6 ARC stuff seems generally available for closer to $1/ea. That and barrel life, recoil, are big upsides for the ARC.

Would be cool if Hornady rolled out 6 BR or 6 Dasher ammo for ARC prices too..

I considered ARC but went GT because of the ease of using an existing action/bolt with no work, 5 round mags that actually exist, feeding concerns with the ARC (given how much trouble 6BR seems to give).

I'd say recoil is splitting hairs, the 6ARC might have a fraction less but I can still spot my shots shooting positionally with an 8LB all up 6GT.

Will be interesting to see what barrel life ends up being. Have seen people quote figures for PRS use of 3-5000 for ARC and 2-4000 for GT but it's pretty variable

If the ARC was better supported in bolt action parts it would be great but as it stands right now I wouldn't build one with the stuff available

Correct me if I’m wrong, but GT splits creed and ARC pretty close on capacity and performance as well? 100fps or so over ARC with heavy for caliber bullets.

Correct. In the real world they do the same thing downrange - no real advantage to GT except a bit longer effective range but that depends on barrel length etc, you can make a 22" ARC outperform an 18" GT.

2-4k for the GT but the top guys are pulling their dasher barrels @ 1500 rounds?

I pull my 6gt barrels at 2500 rds, they're still printing 10 shot sub moa groups tho. My friends shooting dasher swaps theirs at same Rd count.

6arc 35
6br 38.5
6dasher 41
6gt 44
6cm 52

My two 24" 6gt have no issue running 105s at 2900-2950. Bout 150 fps slower than a top end creed load from same barrel length, I'd suspect a 6arc would be in the 2650 area with temp stable powders, this excludes lever and cfe223 which guys use for the high velocity loads.

6gt is a badass cartridge. I have a 22" Tikka being put together with the alpha 0.120fb chamber to shoot 95tmk when/if my long standing backorder gets filled.

I’d get ammo actually available?

I looked a month or so ago and couldn’t find any in stock

$38/box, yes 6cm prices. But this is the only factory loading. You can get copper creek and eagle eye, but they're boutique like UM and more money.

I will be shooting my GT barrel til it dies so will get at least 1 first-hand data point. Currently at about 300rd so it's got a while to go, I expect to shoot 1 match in the rest of this year and 4 next year - that will take me to around 2000 rd with zero/training rounds.
