I don’t understand why people think “fire forming” is such a task. Buy 100pcs of headstamped 6UM brass, load bullets, shoot, hunt with them if you want. Then you have a 100pcs of “formed” brass to reload, add a couple grains of powder, done.
I'm planning to fire form with 115's, N570, & CCI 250. Would you suggest 64 grains? I also have H1000. 61 grains?

Tanya’s 6UM, The H.O.G.
Took a little more effort to get to shoot. It was the first Pacnor barrel I’ve tried.

67g VV 570
115 Dtac NR
2.91 COL, 70 thou jump
Whidden Dies
.273 bushing
3255 FPS 20” barrel

I'm seeing pressure signs at 65 and 66 grains of VV N570, which I've not seen in the other posts in this thread.

22" Ace barrel chambered by UM. Whidden Dies, .271 bushing
Fireformed with 60 grains of N570 using DTAC 115 Standard NR No TBN

2nd firing after annealing, all 5 shot groups:
115 DTAC TBN Deep Cut NR, 215GM
2.920 COL, 60 thou jump
64 grains = 3191 FPS, no pressure signs
65 grains = 3275 FPS, light ejector marks, slightly heavy bolt lift
66 grain = 3327 FPS, bright ejector marks, moderately heavy bolt lift

First time I've fireformed or necked down brass so very likely I'm doing something wrong.

I'm around 2.025 length with some at 2.028. So maybe too long? I also see Ryan was using a .273 bushing for Tanya's rifle and I have a .271, so neck tension? Just what this particular barrel/chambering does?

Appreciate any ideas!

You could have a slower barrel. That's why we always work up.
Also your barrel isn't broken in yet. Expect more fps when it is.
