6 Dasher thread

I didn’t want to wait for line to go cold to take a picture of group, so I don’t get to show the results. But 108eldm over lever has shot small from day 1 in my howa mini dasher 16”.

I got some alpha brass to swap in for Peterson.

I picked up almost 40fps with the additional capacity, across the 8 I loaded and shot today.

Also, for anyone wondering how lever acts in a dasher, when the load is right:

Don’t buy Peterson - if you are just shoot a 6ARC haha.

Lever sounds magic for speed but I can’t t t over wanting more temp stability.

While I impatiently wait for my barrel to show up I figured I’d prep some brass. What’s the preference between magnum primers or just regular small rifle? I have cci 450’s and BR-4’s on hand.

I can’t say because I really havnt tested primers for accuracy but my school of thought on a hunting gun is the hottest primer for proper ignition in extreme cold and the thickest cup to give the least chance of piercing. For that reason I’m shooting Cci 450 and Rem 7 1/2s.

BR4 is basically the same as a 450 as stated. Believe they also have same cup thickness. Tested both back to back in 6cm, 10fps different. BR4 were actually faster.

Few years back did a primer test of 6 different LRP in a 65saum with H1000, BR2 were faster than any the magnum primers.
