I ordered some of the H1000 127 LRX’s to try from Unknown Munitions out of my two new build 6.5 PRC’s. I LOVE the 6.5 PRC for just about everything in NA. (excluding big bears, moose and bison)

No its a Defiance UL action made to Precise Rifle Solutions specs. The barrel is a Proof SL 1/7 Twist.

Any problems with the 4 groove proof and a 7 twist blowing up bullets? I’ve read a lot about potential problems with thin jackets. I have a 7.5 twist proof and a bunch of 156 gr. Berger’s to load up but am skeptical now that they my come apart. Most of the problems I’ve heard are from the eld-m bullets but just wanted to hear your thoughts. Thank you!

I did see some erratic flight with the 147 ELD-Ms. I switched to the 156gr, no issues yet with 115 bullets down the tube.

Awesome. Great to hear, and thanks for the reply. Those are some incredible groups and speed from that rifle. Best of luck with all the adventures this year.

I have a 6. 5 prc carbon barreled Tikka in a custom stock, guns too nice to bounce around the truck with me on the farm all summer long. So did a little digging, found that howa is making the prc on a long action. Ordered one up, will hopefully be here end of week or Monday. 460$ can't go wrong, usually are usually quite good shooters we will see!

Hey guys, I’m building a 6.5 prc sheep rifle, I want to go with a 20” barrel, unsure of carbon fiber or spiral fluted, and what twist rate 1.7 1.75 or 1.8, what would u recommend

Depends on bullet weight. Since the short barrel desire, I imagine you'll be using 140 class projectiles? If so 8tw will do everything you need.

I would definitely be sticking to the 140 Hornady class bullets, what if I wanted to jump up to a 156? Would a 1.8 twist still work well? How well would the 1.7 twist shoot the 140s?

My 6.5 saum is a 7.5 twist and it's shooting excellent with 140, and 156 Bergers

These are 140s at 200 yards

16" SS barrel with a suppressor, I had a CF barrel once and they're not for me
If going 16" I'd go 7.5, your speeds will probably be on par with 6.5 creed. I'd worry about all that fire/powder burning in your can at that short of a length. I just started a short barrel saum build for supressed hunting. But short to me is 21" to put my ultra7 on.
