6.5 Creedmoor/260 for Deer, Elk, and whatever else.....

Remington 700 Mountain wood/blued. I’m a 700 collector but love a Tikka just as much.
Nice gun, Remington has made some great guns over the years. That one probably has the 1 in 9 twist but will handle the mid weight bullets quite well. Mine is a lefty Tikka and it's been a great gun too.

I think it will make my 23rd 700….and counting. I seen a 260 Tikka stainless hunter I wanted on GB awhile back. Still kicking myself for not pursuing it. Can’t get a Tikka 260 anymore. Had a chance to pick up a laminate one as well. Several missed 260 opportunities!

Will there be any pics in here for next season, or has everybody migrated to 6/22?
Most likely, and no the vast majority of hunters are still discovering the 6.5 cartridges. Rokslide is a special place for special folks. Ask people what calibers they are using at the trailhead. If they say anything under a 6.5 for elk, or 243 for deer, I would bet good money they have a Rokslide account.

I've been shooting a creedmoor on and off for the last 5 years and my dad has been shooting a 260 Remington for the last 30 years with zero issues of course the biggest deer we kill here in the SE are 200lbs I'd have no issues with shooting bigger deer he shoots 140gameking I have been shooting the 130gamechanger

Was able to add one more with the 6.5 creed and 147 eld. Factory ctr 20” mv about 2620. First impact hit back, this was the follow up and kill shot. Slightly quartered away this was the exit side bullet was just under the offside hide. Impact velocity was around 2100. Before anyone states the obvious, I know the tag is attached wrong. It was moved after it was brought to my attention just did not take any other pics after the fact.

Does anyone have experience with the Berger 130 vldh or 135 classic hunter? Previous experiences with berger have been good for me. Looking at the 130 class bullet for the 18" 6.5cm. BC on both is better than the 130 tmk. Trying to eek out as much as possible. Are these still good down to 1800? I'm thinking they also may be a better choice at closer ranges/higher velocities, given past experiences.
