Agree based on pics. Not my idea of good on game performance personally.

Hard to argue with those pics!Mule deer buck
6.5 creedmoor
130 TMK
Impact velocity 2754, 70 yard shot
Well, I drank all the rokslide cool aid after reading the .223 thread and this one. I now have matching tikkas in 6.5 creedmoor and .223 rem, shooting the 130tmk and 77tmk.
I like many was taught that 30-06 is ok but the 300 win mag is what a guy needs for big game. So I have been shooting a 300 win mag for the past 10 years. The practice with these cartridges was so much more fun that I did more of it. Reloading was more fun and easier. I did Forms painless load development.
So when I saw a mature enough buck I could not resists. The pictures speak for them selves. The 130 TMK is a monster of a bullet. I would have NEVER thought I’d say this but a 130grain bullet from a 6.5 creedmoor might be a a bit over kill for closer range work on deer. Going to take the .223 for whitetail here in November.
No exit and massive destruction. But dead moose. It's all good.130 tmk impact velocity 2670 100 yds
First shot behind shoulder. Caught the offside hide with ~30% weight retention. Lung soup.
He spun and took a few steps and honestly looked like he might go down. I hit him again in the hardest part of the scapula and and angled into the neck and absolutely folded him and never twitched again. Destroyed shoulder bone but wasn’t much blood shot. Couldn’t tell how far it penetrated. He was down and likely dead in 10-15 seconds
First three photos are of initial entrance.
I was worried about a close shot with a higher impact velocity but it performed flawlessly in my opinion
