Really good stuff, guys.

I wish we could get Pat Sinclair's Grizzly bear in here!

Keep posting them up!

Have you seen better upset/fragmentation under 1,800fps with other bullets?
I have to get into the 900 plus range to get my velocity under 1800. So far I haven't been that far out.....and honestly probably won't. I have a couple ridges that I can run the table from and all come in under 900.

I wish I had more pics of the damage but my wife has been pretty deadly with the 6.5creed/147 eldm combo.

-225 yards, impact velocity roughly 2475fps put 2 side by side. Bull was sick but he didn’t move from his bed.

-600 yards, impact velocity roughly 2150fps hit him close to the base of the neck/shoulder junction and he crumpled. She missed the mark by about 8” horizontally I forgot to tell her to hold for the wind on the cross canyon shot.

-55 yards head on, entered in front of left shoulder exited about mid rib behind same shoulder. Impact velocity roughly 2600fps traveled about 75 yards and died on his feet.

-200 yards impact velocity roughly 2495fps soaked up 2 freehand shots, first shot would have killed him, follow up shots were just to end it quicker. Went less than 10 yards after the first hit.

So far we have whitetails, mule deer, elk, caribou, and a grizzly bear.

Anybody have some more?
Looks like we're trying to catch 'em all, like Pokemon :).

Sitka Blacktail from last month, 65 yards with a 140 grain ELD-M:

Exit (classic ELD "golf-ball-sized exit"):

My 15-year-old's Rocky Mountain Goat this August, 150 yards (high shoulder, shot from above) and follow-up shot; again 140 grain ELD-M:

Exit on a hog at 170yds. In left ear out the right. 140gr nosler bt. Dropped in his tracks. I don’t have pics of the whitetail over the years but 120 and 140gr BTs have been great for me on bucks and does from 70yds to 280yds. Furtherst ran about 50yrds and his heart was mush when we got inside. All had golf ball + sized exits. Used 129gr interlocks this year and at 130yds pencil entry and exit but lungs and heart were jello

4F432487-4191-484D-BD8C-97426E0420BD.jpegHow about 6.5x55???

Here’s a whitetail buck my daughter shot this year at 240 yards with a 130 Nosler Accubond (MV 2730). The bullet passed through both scapulas and was just barely still in the meat of the off side shoulder. The 210 pound buck dropped in his tracks.

Nice! Yeah, anything in this velocity band is good info. The bullet doesn't know what the headstamp says.

I bought the wife a Barrett Fieldcraft in 6.5 CM a few years back and she is deadly with that thing. I get kind of jealous since it is so nice to carry and I had a moment of insanity and sold the 18" version I had. I end up borrowing it on occasion which somehow must be lucky because I kill something every time I borrow it. She has taken 2 or 3 moose with it and I've lost count of the caribou and bears that have been killed with it. A lot of kills were with the Barnes 127gr LRX but more recently I've been loading the 124gr Hammer Hunters which I like way better for consistency and the terminal performance. The closest shot was under 10 yards on a bear and farthest was 450 on a sheep. One moose was 350 which I feel is pretty decent for a little cartridge on a big critter. It's a surprisingly efficient killer with the bullets I've loaded and its a lot of fun to shoot even for small framed young shooters.

I wanted a super lightweight mule deer gun. So 4 years ago i got a tikka superlite in 6.5cm. I load 4350 and a 143gr eldx. I don't have any pictures of the carnage and these are the only 4 animals this gun has shot at. All dropped on impact

330 yards hit behind the shoulder and exited out the neck on opposite side
20181111_195209.jpg350 lungs and one shoulder blade and it exited20191102_102128-01.jpeg575 lungs and hit one shoulder. No exit, bullet stopped on the hide on opposite side20201117_110928.jpg250 lungs and exit20211109_111136.jpg
