6.5 creed more for elk


It's all about the bullet and the velocity, not the head stamp.
 
If I can shoot a moose with a 150 grain .308 Accubond and it works (it works great, BTW), you can damn sure shoot an elk with a 140 grain Accubond out of a 6.5 and expect it to work great.

Other bullets besides Accubonds work great too, they just happen to be what I mostly have used.
 
I’ve only shot 2 elk with mine, both cows at 359 and 409 yards. Worked great. I don’t know how many deer I’ve killed with it. Works every time. I use Hornady Precision Hunter 143 grain eldx.
