Curious if the 7PRC is LA and the 6.5 PRC is SA. Could you size up the6.5 PRC to a 7mm in a SA and load long. Would this be considered an improved 7saum? Just an idea. Would be a laser and not suffer over bore like the 7PRC.

It's called a 7 PRCW and it has 5% less case capacity than the 7 SAUM. Pretty similar, but hardly "improved."

I have sold off every magnum
bolt face rifle.

If I were you I’d swap bolts. Build a 25-06ai.

No larger. I’m wrestling with what to even do with my .280ai. I wish it was a short action now. I might cut/thread it but really I’m at the point of seeing it as simply too much recoil.

Oh, it's not for sale. It's built on something of a family heirloom action.

I'm about to have it threaded and just download it a bit and shoot it until the barrel is gone then it'll probably get turned into a 25-06. Or just kept on the shelf for five shots a year at deer.
