The only proof that they ever existed will be a strange smell and a slightly gamey taste on the breeze as it blows to me.

It's a thing here in the southeast.

Many armadillos especially big older ones have stub tails.

I got leprosy one time from handling a live one and it feels like shingles on your palm. Takes a few weeks to go away too.

This one is particularly fast and sneaky. I have spent several evenings waiting with lesser velocity implements with no success. Anything less simply isn't fast enough.

Been playing around with some ideas in my head.

The 300 varminter (zero free bore - neck turn - 300 wsm) can get 4,000-4,200 fps with a 110 grain varmageddon / 125 grain nosler ballistic tip using a 15 twist 30" barrel using viht n550 powder.

I have a bat CT lapua bolt face I would use as the platform. I'm thinking a 36" 5r 18 twist 1.450" zero freebore 300-338 lapua improved or 300-33xc may be the ticket
