Yes I have a creedmoor and a prc. I’d certainly be willing to try one on prc as well. I ordered another “flush” mag for a 300 win and swapped followers and bottom plastic to get what I needed without a bolt stop. So I have some stuff to try. Also have a lot of random parts laying around to mess with.I replied to your PM send me your address and I can send these to you to mess with since it doesn't sound like you have a printer. You do have M+ followers/springs on hand (you mentioned creedmor and I presumed 6.5 with the M+ versus using M with a 6 creed)? If you have M instead I could tweak it fairly quick if needed.
I reworked the bottom a tad, took a little material off the top where the was bolt friction and threw a little styling at it for grip/identification/fun. Seems like it'll work but you can verify / field test it. This snaps nicely into 3 of my tikkas with factory stocks, on my rockstok it snaps in too but is a little more harsh of a "snap", I didn't investigate much yet about smoothing that out since it still works.

If you want a PRC to try I'll need you to get me some various dimensions, cause I don't have one on hand. I know the dims of the tikka one, the question was the rem one.Well ChatGPT at least knows where all the best info is at! haha
I asked that too ha! looks like the rem is bigger. with being less than a noob in the whole design world, i have no idea if its a big enough difference to cause an issue?I know the dims of the tikka one, the question was the rem one.![]()
Yeah that is wider than the tikka mag (maybe a wsm one is wider but the rest aren't that wide). Thinning out the walls wouldn't do any favors to this grade of material I don't think (to make sure it doesn't bend outward at the feed lips).I asked that too ha! looks like the rem is bigger. with being less than a noob in the whole design world, i have no idea if its a big enough difference to cause an issue?
Send me what dimensions you need and I’ll get them for ya.If you want a PRC to try I'll need you to get me some various dimensions, cause I don't have one on hand. If you want to do some measuring let me know and I'll mark up what I need.
I have some 5 round mags I could send you for specs.Went ahead and made a normal 3rd M+ mag (still using the factory follower and spring for now), something else to also function test the PETG-GF material with and see how it holds up.
Forester_65 got me measurements so a flush fit variant for his 6.5PRC is off to the printer as well. Hopefully it all fits and feeds fine, I don't have a PRC to try it out with.
If the materials and dimensions of the upper half of these mags holds up / works well it provides a platform to experiment further with (main goal of the thread) trying other springs and such by adjusting the body height and internals some.
Being able to easily swap a factory follower and spring into a brightly colored mag body for hunting offers potential too. Even if the PETG-GF ends up not holding up to hard use as long as it holds up decently it only takes a moment to move the spring and follower to switch for hunting versus heavy practice in the factory mag body.

Is the context wanting a colored body? Probably could do most remote but if you wanted me to cycle some dummy rounds in my guns I could do that too (in which case probably would need the spring and follower unless you can confirm its the same as others). I don't have a PRC based rifle is my limitation.I have some 5 round mags I could send you for specs.
I am sure a tikka spring could be sent to a spring maker and they could bang them out, not like its very complex for folks that do it every day. Yeah there would be some sort of minimum. I am curious if anyone on the board has a background in it?Has anyone confirmed Tikka makes their own springs? I glanced through the comments but didn't see an answer. But, if they are outsourcing the springs maybe we could get our hands on some.. Im sure the minimum order is probably a tick large.
Gotcha I’m mainly offering for those who would want orange body mags.Is the context wanting a colored body? IE: I have tikka 223, 243, 284 (as a long action), 6creed, 300wsm

What mag version (M, M+, L, etc)? Comparing the springs would be of later interest but short term I presume the upper half is the same and mainly a height thing?Gotcha I’m mainly offering for those who would want orange body mags.
I’ll look when I get home! What mag version (M, M+, L, etc)? Comparing the springs would be of later interest but short term I presume the upper half is the same and mainly a height thing?
Edit to add. Probably best we make sure the petg-gf actually works well otherwise materials that I am aware of mainly shift to black to be stiffer or such.
They might have spring steel stock to mess with but I don't think they'd have any traditional magazine type springs such as flat spring stock bent in a W like tikka uses or other gun followers use. Or the oval/rectangular type of spring in other magazines. I believe they just have round springs.![]()

I'm too busy to mess with it now but I bet you could find something here. Go into filters and add the sizing.
Sending Foster some flush mags to play with and I mailed out some of the 223 and 3rd M+ mag bodies to another rokslider to put some wear and tear on to see how they hold up in this material.
Sadly I don't get out shooting nearly as much as I would like or anywhere near as much as some others on here.

That doesn't mean folks couldn't play around with trying to use round springs if they wanted to.
Anyone else with a printer out there wanting to experiment?
Yes I was saying they had spring steel stock but not completed springs of the normal types used in mags. If someone wants to experiment with DIY springs they are welcome to figure it all out. Ideally either finding an off the shelf solution or if someone coordinates a group buy of a custom order of springs seems like it'd have the best chance of being user friendly and consistency to the end result.Isn't this similar? I don't have the measurements but they have a ton of different stuff. Buy a simple stock bender and you would be set.![]()

I'm looking forward to hearing how the flush fit 6.5 PRC mags work out. I would definitely be interested in a couple of those in orange.Sending Foster some flush mags to play with
