What is everyones opinion of a .300 rum as a long range rifle caliber? Never shot one but the ballistics are pretty impressive...

700 is long range to me. And I would put a brake on it cause I’m a wimp and I’ve accepted it at this point. 215 bergers would be pretty sweetI have two left hand Remington 700 LSSs in 300 RUM. I like the cartridge a lot; however, long range to me, with these rifles, is 700 yards. The farthest I have shot anything with either is just over 500 yds. With one, I shoot 200 gr Nosler Accubonds and with the other, I shoot 200 gr Barnes LRXs and 210 Bergers (bought a bunch before I started reading about the 215 Bergers). Neither rifle is braked. Both are just a little over nine pounds scoped. They do have some recoil, but I don’t find it too bad.
Am I correct in saying a 30nosler has the same action length as a 300win mag while a 300rum has a longer ultra mag size action? But the 300rum is able to get slightly more velocity than the 30nosler correct? The 300 RUM and 300 WM are not the same action lengths.
Remington makes 2 action lengths. Long and and short. End of story.
