First elk with the 25 PRC. Good broadside shot at 231 yards that I rushed, thinking they would bolt. Muzzle velocity 2995. I hit her a little low and back (bottom of the lung) she just stood there for a minute or so with the other two. I could tell she was sick, but hadn’t dropped so I got steady and put the second one through the back of her head. Happy with the results considering the lack of vital tissue I hit. I’m not the guy to answer that, I’m going to shoot the tmk variant and if they shoot well I’ll take them hunting

I think thats likely what ill do as well, i had goodluck with the 131 smk so the new tmk should just be an improvement upon that with the tip helping expansion

Tgk are a very hard bullet with narrow deep wounds often exiting, tmk softer and larger wound channels.

The 13Xgr tmk will not have nearly the BC of the smk. I bet it'll be 305-310 VS the 340 for the 131smk. I shot a lot of the original 131 blackjacks when they came out.

I won’t be using the TGK

The TMK is what I’m after. The 6.5 130TMK was violent this year and 3 quick deaths for me. Never got to try my 155 TMK 308 on an animal but shoots lights out.

I liked the results enough to want to try the 25cal version with better sectional density than the 2 above

I’m guessing a 135tmk out of a 257Bee is going to wreck stuff and maybe not always pass through. The 131smk with the meplat opened to .019” works great near and far and usually exits. The 140gr TGK at 3250 out of my 270wsm has worked well with the 3 animals we’ve shot with it but I’m really more interested in the TMK.

I'm really interested to see what this new 65mm 15X gr bullets going to do. I have a large capacity wildcat that should run these 3100mv from the 22in barrel. It's prob gonna be too much devastation on medium sized game but I have to try it!

Congrats. That’s a pig. Plain old 25-06 is straight up killer and the Precision Hunter ammo is a laser out of mine. If I didn’t like to tinker that’s probably all I would shoot.

What a stud! The 25-06 is a hidden gem that’s too often overlooked. After I started using one a lot of my hunting buddies started buying 25-06s and 257 weatherbys. All smiles in our camp
