Anyone have any experience with RL26 vs N570 in a 25SST or similar cartridge? Im very happy with my 134 ELDM load and N570 but I do still have a pound of RL26 sitting around and if anyone thinks it would offer a significant enough velocity advantage Im sure I could work up a load and have plenty left over for many years of AZ deer/elk hunting rounds. Thanks!

In my 25sst barrels with the heavy’s rl26 and n570 produce similar velocitys with max loads.

Been pondering building a 25ss or 6.5ss, I currently have a 6.5 creed 7 saum and 308 just not sure what route I want to go on this next one. Can you actually run heavys in a short action or do you need a medium?

Daughter took a nice little axis deer yesterday with the mighty 25 SAUM using 133 Berger. Did what it’s suppose to. Amazing cartridge. Buck ran about 30yd before expiring. No complaints.

Depending on bbl make and powder lot 3270-3295fps in 26” bbls with the Sierra 131s on the top end.
I just had a 20” chambered and I’m hoping for 3100-3150fps with n570.

61.1 n560, 20” barrel, approx 3015fps. Very Minor load development just to find something reasonably accurate to hunt with while barrel settling in/speeding up. Will do a little deeper dive in another 50ish rounds.

Used a 25cm with a mild load I’m using for barrel break in. 134 eldm at 2580fps, shot was 375 yards. He died instantly.

I was told a few weeks ago they were in production and sierra told me last week they will launch June 15th

Maybe your guy knows more then the guy i was routed too.

But I asked about BC and was told they were making bullets now. They havent tested them yet. And will release in August.
