If your using one of the speed powders then yes. You could get those speeds with h1000 on brass thats only fired a couple times but after a couple firings youll experience clickers even with a bullet central micron die and a .535 chamber. Otherwise with h1000 your probably looking at 2850 ish for the accuracy node with brass that won't click. 2900 if your lucky but dont count on it. Every person I talked to that was giving really high velocity numbers was doing so with once fired brass. After I had several firings on my brass I had to back the load down. Im gonna have a 25 max reamer in a few weeks. Im doing this so I can hit 3100 with a mild load and not have clickers. I think 3100 will be a cupcake load. 3150-3200 is probably the more realistic one with a mild load. Im setting my expectations low so Im not disappointed LOL. But also even if I hit the lower 3100 node its still an improvement over my 25 saum thats 2950 in a 22" barrel. Its stupid accurate but I wanna see what a 25 max will do.
What case does the 25 max use?

I'm looking at building one and using 115 gr Cayuga bullets, hoping to get close to 3300fps. Do you think it's possible? I will go with 26" barrel no suppressor in California.

2820 so far about 45 rounds in on my 22" .25-284 with 54.5gr of H1000. Fired a few rounds today, and had the slightest bolt lift. This combo shoots sub minute 10 shot groups, and I don't plan to mess with it. However, if I was going to do a hot rod .25 it was going to be a 25-7 PRC. Now that you mentioned the 25 max though you have me curious.

I don't think you need to go that extreme to push a 115 at 3300. Heck you can drive a 135 at 3100 with a .25-06AI and 26" barrel.

Below is standard load data for .25-06 and 115 Noslers for comparison in a 24" barrel. Add around 50 fps for a 26" barrel, and you'll be in that 3200ish range without getting into a more complicated wildcat cartridge unless you want to.

Depending on budget and objectives, in the Tikka platform a guy could get a fast twist .25-06 barrel and the new UM DBM/mag and be able to run the heavies with the appropriate throating. I would probably go 25-06AI just to reduce case growth and trimming, and then you've got a gun that can still shoot factory ammo while you build up (fireform) your case inventory.

WTO will be doing it for me. I have to use non lead bullets that have more bearing surfaces. I have a buddy with a 7 prc, and he doesn't reload, so free brass is a bonus.

I was just using Noslers for comparison. However, here is Barnes load data for their 115. Again, around 3160 in a 24" barrel, and with a 26" you'd be in that 3200 range with likely better case fill, less muzzle blast, increased barrel life, and reduced recoil over the 25-7 PRC.

That's pretty fast, but I like my wildcats, lol.I shoot a 7 max now, and if I can get 3400, I'll have more foot pounds of energy at 1k with less recoil. Hopefully, I'll be able to spot my hits too.

Anyone run a 25 x 7prc?

I had a rifle chambered in 257 blackbird, which uses the 7mm blaser mag as a parent, holds near same capacity as the 7prc, accept Norma brass is much softer than ADG, Peterson or lapua. Was a 7.75tw 28" barrel, it'd run 131s over 3400. 135s shot well at 3320-3350 using 8133.

You'll likely get that with non speed powders. I had a 65saum with rl26 using the 122 cayuga from a 7.5tw 26in. They shot very well at 3450. My 65prc ran them well at 3350 with rl26 at 24in.

This sounds pretty comparable to 257 wby mag capacity and performance then. How did the 130 class work at those speeds?

I am running 134 eld on 22" with adg brass and n570 at 3240fps, no experience with Cayuga, so maybe you can compare

What case does the 25 max use?
Its a sherman cartridge. Its a saum improved. The case design is less prone to clickers after a bunch of firings. I know of fclass guys using the 7max and no clickers at 15 firings. Fclass shooters tend to push things faster also.

For the 25 SAUM are you just necking down 6.5 SAUM brass?

For the 25 MAX are you fireforming the 25 SAUM brass?

Thank you in advance for your patience with all my questions.
