Your going to be my new best friend. :)
I am really leaning the 25-284 route. What can you tell me about it?
Get some lapua 6.5-284 brass before it’s all gone. I use Redding 6.5x284 type S bushing dies with .284 bushing. 25cal vld seating stem. Will push the .257 heavies about 3000fps with h1000 or h4831 in a 24” tube.

I can't find it now, but I thought I read a post about someone loading the High BC Berger's into a fast twist Tikka 25-06. They were worried there wasn't as much magazine space as they wanted. If someone is running a fast twist Tikka 25-06 with the 133/135 Berger, I would love to hear about it. I have a big nostalgia factor with the 25-06. My grandpa's favorite rifle was a 25-06, and it was the first rifle I ever shot. It kind of started this whole crazy obsession.
The 135 berger is 1.416" Long
Seated w/ the boattail at the neck/shoulder junction the cartridge would be 3.386 so you'd only have to stuff a bit into powder to feed from a factory magazine.

The COAL for the mountain tactical long action Tikka T3 mag is 3.4"

Thank you for that. My mind is spinning today. 25 Creed,25-06, 25-284, or 25 PRC. So many options. I would really like to run whatever I pick with a 20" barrel and shoot it suppressed. I would love to be in the 2800-2900 fps range with the new 134 ELDM, and I would like to shoot something in the H4350 burn rate. Good thing I have time to get it pegged down.

25-284 fixes any concerns over mag length in a tikka. Also brass options for 25-06 suck
I did a quick search for 6.5/284 Lapua brass. I didn't turn anything up. I did find some Peterson though.

Probably not gonna happen in any of those with a 20” barrel, especially with h4350

It will be 100% possible w the PRC or saum in a 20” bbl. Even with H4350. Initial test results on 20” saum w the 135 Berger w H4350 was 2950 fps. That was before barrel speed up. PRC will be a little slower but not much.

I think you will need to move up to saum or PRC for those kinds of velocity in a short barrel. Creedmoor gets there in a 26” tube, 25-284 is maybe 100fps faster, PRC gets you a little more, SAUM would probably do it handily.

Here are some .25-06 loads I found on Shooting Times. Guy was using a stainless-steel Bartlein barrel with gain-twist, T-type 5R rifling that started at 1:8 and increased to 1:7.48 at the muzzle.

You are filling a 25saum with h4350 and 135 Berger?
Sure why not? My current load in my saum is not H4350 but it’s a very usable powder for the saum case, especially in a short bbl. Do a little research on the 7 saum and F class shooters. H4350 is probably the most popular powder for the 7 saum amongst F class shooters because of its ability hold super low ES and SD’s. Is it going to produce the max velocities in a 25 saum? Absolutely not, there are better powder suitable for max velocity such as RL26, N565, and H1K. But to say it’s not probable to achieve the velocities @Redbeard88 is wanting is simply not true. It’s been tested by me in 2 different 25 saums as well as 2 25 SST’s so a total of 4 different bbls but all 20” long.

Those speeds were more than I expected. Now it’s got me thinking about a 25-06 AI so I don’t have to trim brass as often. With all the options I am going to have to draw one out of a hat. Or build a SA, LA, and Magnum. 🤦
