That said, 2 is a very small sample size and folks here advise that they’re inconsistent.

I personally wouldn’t use for elk based on the advice here. But if it’s all you got before deer season, I’d run it.

Even smaller sample size, 1, and that was enough to turn me off of them. On the other hand the 62 gr version has been great.

25.0 N150. 2765 fps from the broken in 18” bbl.
Actually I just realized that I bumped up the load to 26.0 of N150 and getting 2792 fps now from the 80's.
Damn. This is tempting to re barrel. Thats bad ass. Have you shot and 88s in this barrel?

probably reached the point of BC to Velocity, but I could be wrong. I’m going to re visit the 88’s in my 22 CM, so I’ll try them out in the 223 as well, just for fun.

You could be right. Im just curious. Id imagine the 80s are the sweet spot
