I've used a Hill People Gear Umlindi and was pretty impressed with its comfort. I'm wondering if anyone here has used both the Umlindi and the Stone Glacier Avail 2200 and could speak to how they compare. I know they're very different packs, but I'm really just wondering about carrying comfort.

I'd also be interested in comparisons between the Umlindi and other daypacks like options from Kifaru.

The Umlindi is very comfortable up until about 20 lbs and then struggles a bit even with tightening the delta straps. That probably has to do with the aluminum stays not attaching directly to the hip belt and the lack of load lifters. Compressing the load helps somewhat.

HPG gives very false load ratings. Umlindi is a great little pack. However, like stated above. 20lbs is it's comfort max. Any pack without load lifter capabilities is not ment for weight.
