Gaffers tape is my personal favorite. Leaves no residue but it’s pretty durable. Also great for writing dope, labeling your Swfa turret zero etc.I still like painters tape for covering the muzzle. I've had others leave a residue
My 10.5 1:7 loves 73eldm. 1.3" is the best I have had from it.1:7 10 inches
That was an epic thread.I heard on another forum that blue painters tape was like a shining warning beacon to deer because they see blue really well.
Thats a fantastic pic.I remember that. Didn't Jeff o have something to do with it? I know he was the one that kept wanting stick to post his load...lol.
That was probably about the same time I had this 250AI but for my wife. 2008-2010'ish maybe.

Without energy the bullet would remain in the case, there would be no velocity.Probably.
Good thing kinetic energy doesn't have anything to do with bullet expansion, tissue damage or lethality.
It would seem mass and placement would be important factors.Yep, I frankly do not care what the kinetic energy, knockdown factor, or whatever metric is being used to measure performance at distance here other than impact velocity of the bullet.
Ha ha ha ha too funny. He would be agreeing whole heartedly with all the match bullet guys here. No, But I believe He is the God father of the gun world. I only have a quarter of the toys he has, Grin!
Thats a fantastic pic.
Yep, that was JeffO’s thread, he didn’t want a shining blue beacon pointed at a deer from the end of the barrel before the shot……
And yep, he wanted Stick to post his 708/162 Amax load IIRC.
Pretty sure there was a link put up on ARAIG not too terribly many years ago to that thread.
Makes me laugh just thinking about it.After that, everyone inundated the thread with pics of dead deer next blue stocked rifles, blue plaid jackets, blue jeans….
Come to think of it, until I knew better about decent hunting clothes, I hunted in blue jeans and my old combat boots.
I think its time to build a 22 Creedmoor.
My second-ever Tikka, 1-10” stainless T3 in .223 Rem. My son named it Blue Lightning. Fifteen years ago or thereabouts.

If you have necropsy photos showing the wound channel, post them here and then link to them on YT.after posting the video for you guys the other day, 90% of the comments on it are down right obnoxious.
O man. Haha some of those are just funny..I would just disable the comments to your videos.I guess I forgot that outside of the rokslide community there is a lot of ignorance about using match bullets and small calibers to hunt big game... after posting the video for you guys the other day, 90% of the comments on it are down right obnoxious.

A lot of bot posts on there. The usernames give it away. I get a lot of views out of Russia when you check the analytics on YouTube. It would be interesting to see yours too.I guess I forgot that outside of the rokslide community there is a lot of ignorance about using match bullets and small calibers to hunt big game... after posting the video for you guys the other day, 90% of the comments on it are down right obnoxious.

I think there are a lot of guys who prefer to hunt with controlled expanding bullets and rifles powerful enough to make wide wound channels with that kind of bullet. That is not ignorance it is preference. Plus it did run 300 yards. I have never had a well hit elk go farther than 50 yards using 270,30-06,7MM RM, 300 WM rifles. I have had poorly hit elk run that far. Good thing you had snow.I guess I forgot that outside of the rokslide community there is a lot of ignorance about using match bullets and small calibers to hunt big game... after posting the video for you guys the other day, 90% of the comments on it are down right obnoxious.
