Was this hand loads or the factory match ammo with 75hpbt?View attachment 80312475gr BTHP Hornady Tikka 223. 8pt, doe, and coyote. Great week
Yes, with him slightly moving right. That's a stud buck. Congrats! Looks like it was a square on frontal shot?
I haven't seen it and I looked.I didn’t think Hornady loaded the 75 ELDM in factory ammunition.

I just looked on Hornady's website and they do not load the 75 ELDM in either the 223 or the 5.56 Nato cartridges. To get those bullets you will need to use a boutique ammo manufacturer or hand load.Factory hornady loads View attachment 803490
I wanted the 75gr ELD match but this is what they had when I picked up the Tikka.
Is anyone successfully using a 12 twist 223 for deer? If so, what bullets are you using?
Sorry I miss spoke eld is what I wanted, it’s 73gr. 2 grains make a different. BTHP was all the shop had in 223Which explains why KChunter71 couldn’t find any.
The 73eldm work very well. It would be worth your time to order a case from an online dealer.Sorry I miss spoke eld is what I wanted, it’s 73gr. 2 grains make a different. BTHP was all the shop had in 223
Very similar the 77 will give a bit more penetration. How does the 73 grn ELDM compare to 77 TMK?
In terms of wound channel depth and tissue damage?

I’m putting a 1-8” barrel on my stainless T3 Lite .223 Rem specifically for shooting the 77 TMK. I have Varget and Benchmark. I’d like to get at least 2850 mv.
Anyone have a good recipe? I have aftermarket mags so I can load loooong.
