Yes perhaps my expectations of the supersonic crack are unrealisticNONE of them are hollywood quiet shooting HV thru a rifle.....
I already did..... The OCL Ti is the pick of the litter.Let us know how it compares.
Oh, well then I am fully relieved, and I should just delete my comments then lolI already did..... The OCL Ti is the pick of the litter.
Gotcha. I think we are going to go out to @huntsman22's place and do a free trialYes. Otter creek ti.
I feel like it should be better, BUT I have no other 22lr can to compare it to shooting supers out of my t1x
Maybe supers are just loud with all rimfire cans. I could shoot it with my ultra7 can on it to compare I guess.
Shooting subs it is hollywood quiet as expected.
I'll pick up some subsonic stuff!Just remember, kids..... Huntsman's place is BYOA....grin (bring yer own ammo)
OCL, Mask, TBAC, Huxwrx, Banish, Sparrow and BDE22 are your choices
I'll pick up some subsonic stuff!
What alternatives would YOU pick over the Otter? And why?
The DD Road Hunter is quieter enough to be heard with the naked ear (we can usually tell 2 db differences in sound), half an ounce heavier, and $20 cheaper. The cost may not be worth even considering, but 1/2 ounce for more suppression (you know, the whole purpose of the suppressor) makes sense to me.Good luck with that......
While i appreciate pewscience and the silencer summit data, I honestly trust personal, qualitative comparisons like Huntsman's more. The DD Road Hunter is quieter enough to be heard with the naked ear (we can usually tell 2 db differences in sound), half an ounce heavier, and $20 cheaper. Edit - I have nothing against OCL or the OCL Titanium. When I look at the objective measurements, I just don't see it as a clear winner.

Not to mention all rimfire cans are the exact same when you are talking about subs
Availability is a huge factor. Sometimes that is the driving factor. I have to drive an hour each way to even look at a decent suppressor, so I might as well order them. But there are definitely great suppressors out there I have not tried because they weren't in stock when I was in the market for them and I don't have enough money to buy and try them all.Q has valid points. Thing is, my local shop never gets in some of those other choices, so I haven't tried them. But of my seven different ones, the OCL is the pick....
These are the kinds of objective factors that don't come up from the TBAC Summit reports, so I, for one, appreciate you sharing them. Can you explain why the "fully shielded baffles" thing matters?I wouldn’t buy a non-serviceable 22 can (rules out the hux) or one without fully shielded baffles (rules out the EA nyx).
