2026 Cold Bore Challenge Q&A Thread

Took my second shot today and I adjusted .5 moa down and I hit. I need to do some more verification but if that’s the case in my Hornady app do I adjust my velocity up to get more accurate adjustments? I followed up with 5 more hits so I am presuming i was adjusting wrong.
Yes
That what I do.
Once I’m getting good hits at distance.
I adjust the fps to the solver I’m using matches up.

But make sure you are getting an excellent range.
And all other inputs are perfect.

Maybe even a big sheet of plywood, cardboard etc behind it to ensure a good range.

If any other inputs are bad, you will be adjusting your entire curve bad if that makes sense.

I got both of my shots in. (Post #59)
Missed both times. I tried going for shots that I'm not as practiced with and it definitely shows.
I also suck at reading wind speed haha.

But I sent a second shot right after my miss on day 2 and got a hit. It made me feel a little better, but I still suck at shooting hahaha.

Got lucky with a good hit on my 3rd shot at 886 yards this evening.

Unfortunately the video cut out before the shot…

102 degrees, in direct sunlight, and stuck in a black hot phoneskope case is a recipe for failure. It’s happened multiple times when filming shooting stuff here in AZ before so I should have known.

I’ll still try and shoot a 4th shot when I get back from work travel next weekend even if my double entries are no good since 3rd shot wasn’t on film.
