22 Creed is getting the call tomorrow morning.

Latest batch of 80 ELDX ammo loaded to same spec as previous batch. Threw it on the chrono for 5 and then checked my Revic ballistics profile for that gun. Note the “average” versus what’s input for the profile.

I see that big case and just think that's not fun to shoot.

It’s actually very mild with the 180gr. bullets and that big muzzle brake. I bet it kicks less than an unbraked 6.5 PRC. The gun I’d also 11.75lbs

The Rokslide Cold Bore Challenge will go live on June 14th and end on July 13th.

I'll be flying home on the 14th, so I won't draw until about the 19th or so.

Official rules will be posted by this weekend.

Edit to add.. looks like I can’t shoot/post yet. 6 am Mountain time. Guess I’ll wake up early and shoot the first one then beautiful spot to camp and shoot here.

I think the mod judiciary unofficial committee of '23 made the strong suggestion of "no shooting" means anything powder and projectile(s).

I thought that would likely be the case, but wanted to make sure. I may have to bow out of this year's competition if I can't practice my flintlock. In my opinion, dry firing with my bolt gun is more of a cheat than practicing with my flintlock

I ended up just doing a 600 yard MER. I’m picking up a new gun today that I really want to shoot tomorrow. So I can shoot my second cold bore in the AM and get straight to shooting this new gun.

Would have liked to attempt 1000 again but it wasn’t worth waiting 2 more range days to try it. It’s just fun to get out and check cold bore a couple times and see everyone else’s success!!
