Remington 700 Varmint in 308 Winchester bedded in a McMillan gamehunter stock and Hawkins bottom metal
Shooting 168 Hornady A-Max with IMR 4064 at 2790
Prone off rugged ridge bipod and phoenix rear bag

First shot was a hit also confirmed by my spotter 😆
1-3mph wind from 7:00
Gotta be one of the cutest spotters I've ever heard/seen! :D

Love seeing all the different guns and shooters but the different terrain sure is awesome! Great photos and videos ya'll!
100%. Some of you guys live and shoot in gorgeous places. Without giving away spots I’ve love to know state/quadrant or mtn range-level info if folks are willing to share.

Went to shoot yesterday AM, I have to hike a ways into my spot so thought Id use a cardboard circle instead of lugging steel. Well, most of the way in I found a random piece of metal with a prominent ring on it that was just an inch or so smaller than my 10” circle…I figured Id use it instead and Id be able to hear the impact. looked kind of like a car part or something, except it was a mile from the nearest forest service road in a designated wilderness. Got to my spot, jammed it between two trees, hiked 450 yards down the beaver meadow, set up cameras and spotters and shot…and nothing. Silence. Target still up. Replaying the video, it appeared I hit the tree as a piece of bark flew off. Since the shot felt pretty good, I decided my zero must have finally been off, so I wrote off the challenge for the day and repeated with two more walked-up shots. Same thing, zero feedback. Bummed that not only had I disqualified this shot from the challenge, but also that my rifle seemed to acting screwy, I packed up and walked back to retrieve my targets, wondering if Id be able to get out two more times.

🙄
Apparently old abandoned car parts dont move or make noise when you shoot them. Guess I’ll try again in a week or two if theres still openings.

I wonder if that’s a cheap frying pan that’s missing the handle?

Bummer about it not reacting to the shot…

Central cascades for me. Decent spot in the summer as it’s usually 10-15 degrees cooler up there and nice views of Rainier. But the new growth is getting a little tall and it’s a haul to get there.

Hard to beat the AK folks though.

Wow, the first full page of entries and the biggest caliber is a 270 with most of them in .223 & 6MM. Not a lot of wallop in this challenge. Lol.
I dunno man... Check out my update to post #18 from todays shot (shot number 2). Looks like that little baby .224 has some KNOCK DOWN POWER!!!

Shot tonight. Guess new phone doesn't play nice with my phone scope, even though it fit in there couldn't get it to focus. Was super happy with the shot little bummed I couldn't film it but still a great way to end the weekend
585 yards. Will get a new adapter on way and hopefully get out again next weekend. 20" 7 twist 22 cm 88 eldm 3060fps ~5mph wind.

A trick to phone scoping is taking away the phones ability to autofocus. It’s a nightmare.

I slap my phone on the spotter, dial the focus completely to one extreme side. For some reason this paralyzes the phones auto focus. Then bring the focus on the spotter back in JUST enough for a crisp image. The phone will NEVER try to auto focus it if you do that.

If you leave the focus on the spotter somewhere in the middle (like where it would be in focus to your eye), the phone with constantly try and autofocus the image, and never get it right it seems.

Awesome I will try that for sure, it sounds like that's probably what it was doing just couldn't get it to focus crisp enough for any worthwhile video. Hopefully this will make it useable until I can get a better set up but there's less options for Samsung I'm realizing. Anyway thanks again for the advice much appreciated.

I’m in for shot 3. Moved back to 809 yards.

Updated the post with the description and video, but the site photo uploader seems to be malfunctioning. Tried on multiple threads as a test and they all load in as a blank white photo that cannot be uploaded. I'll try on my phone now instead of PC.

Both PC and phone will not upload images currently on any thread I try. They load in, but then are just a white image with no option to "insert" into the thread. Just FYI mods.
