I think they replied and said August 1st![]()
I’m hoping @Justin Crossley and @robby denning make a phone scope video recording a requirement this year. It’s a lot more fun for us following the thread than some dude videoing himself on a target you can’t see. What are video requirements? Is a phone video from the shooters perspective and then a photo of the target acceptable?
Or do you need the 10 min walk from and then back to the target on video as well?
Triple WITH hits.Double or triple entries for drop testing on video prior to shooting. Do it.
10" plate is .35 mils at 800 yards. To put it in context of comp shooting, you'd probably have some bellyaching about that being too hard from top shooters if you had a stage that started at 800 with a .35 mil targetI setup a plate at 800 yards yesterday morning and took a couple practice shots. I hope to get through the first portion smoothly and in the spirit of a challenge I'll go for it if so, but it refreshed my respect for how daunting of a task that realistically is..
None of the days need to be consecutive. You just can't shoot in between day one and your last day.@Justin Crossley Just for clarification, if a shooter calls an MER past 600 and makes the first two hits, can he take a multi week break, with shooting in between? Or, do all 4 days have to be uninterrupted with any other shooting?
My interpretation based on the cold bow, is no shooting at all between cold bore shots/days.What is considered practice between days? Can I shoot the cold bore challenge then shoot paper targets? Rimfire?

To move past 600 (if you decide on a MER thats farther than that) you have to hit both of the closer shots first. This may be a very stupid question but I'm gonna throw it out there. Do the shots have to hit the target in order for the points to be applied? I am assuming that is the case however, the only thing in the rules is " post a video of your shot hitting the target" and some of the videos/ pictures posted last year are misses.
How do you guys handle that situation?
I'm just thinking of the scenario I miss my first shot on the first day, I might as well not post it up![]()
