Very nice, I've only hunted them in WA and ID, straight up and down there...I like the rolling hills and tress in your pics a lot better!

We were a 1000 feet up from the parking lot, killing shit loads of them in the flats this year. I’ve hunted ugly, but the flats have been money so no need to make it harder.

That's awesome intel and something I'll need to try. Won't burn through my dogs as fast either! They still keyed in on cheat grass up in flats or is there something else they like?

Bunch grass flats, black sage, wild sunflowers and thistles if you can them.

IMG_2072.jpegIMG_2075.jpegIMG_2082.jpegIMG_2087.jpegIMG_2091.jpegIMG_2094.jpegI left the house at 5 AM yesterday to go check out a new spot. When I got there, I found it burned to a crisp without a stitch of grass cover. Plan B yielded the same result.

Fortunately plan C came together and we found some birds. The last covey of the day was a bunch of mountain quail. I’ve never shot one of these little buggers before. They sure are coil.
