General, any problems with batteries dying? Replaced the set that came with the scope with a set of energizer, used it yesterday and now today dead! Maybe it was just a bad set of batteries? Seems odd though

No issues. I turn it off after each use though. Did you leave it on even though it goes into sleep mode?

It’s great glass. I own Japanese glass with some Zeiss Conquest V4s and it is neck and neck. Purple fringing/chromatic aberration is very very low and low light coatings are excellent. Proceed with confidence.

Have you used their app much and what do you think of it ? I have looked at it on my phone but I can't really get into it without a scope . I am clumsy and that vortex warranty is very, very very tempting and it is made in Japan . Everything is a trade-off ......

To me, I’ve owned both scopes and I actually prefer the glass of the veracity. Not sure if it was just my LHT or what but I found it very dull and almost hazy.

Today I’m going to go check my zero and see if the veracity holds up, took a decent fall last night coming down a ridge and the scope took a hard smack against a tree as did I 🤦‍♂️. If the zero is still on after that I’ll be even more impressed

I really like the FFP Rapid Cross reticle. I’m not even sure I’ll use the turret out to 400 yards. I hit deer vital sized steel using just the hold overs.

I do have a negative to report and looking to see if anyone has a similar experience.

The zero stop is soft metal and over time with usage, the zero stop goes below “0”. Now my zero stop is not indexed with 0 but a 1/4 MOA below.

I sent it back early last year for this issue and they supposedly fixed it but the problem is back again. The metal that the zero stop screw hits for zero stop is soft and deforms easily. You can see it when you remove the turret. The metal forms an indention that screws up the alignment of the index line and the turret markings. I’m not hitting the stop hard at all.

Pictured is the soft metal zero stop tab that easily deforms with use over time. When dialing, the MOA marks index correctly but the zero stop falls below the 0.

I didn’t notice this with mine, but after using for a few months I noticed my zero wandering, up to a couple MOA some times.

Also no matter what I did, or what batteries I used, the thing drains batteries. I would have to change them every week without even turning it on.

Let’s say I no longer own the scope, they are going in a great direction, but there’s still a few kinks to work out before I would trust one on my hunting rifle again.

Bummer although I’ve never had issues with battery. I turn it off everytime though. Seems if left in HUD mode, it still drains battery slowly even when scope falls to sleep.

Also I’ve had no issues with zero wondering. It’s been an accurate dialer.

I messed around with the turret more. Essentially the zero stop is soft. I just need to stop when it starts to meet resistance. That lines up with 0 correctly.

I looked at one in Scheels. To my eye the glass is better than the Zeiss V4 I had and the Tract Toric I own now. I believe I will try one .

Great scope and the technology is a game changer IMO. Range target and go to scope and dial without taking your eye off the target.

It’s my understanding Burris uses quality Japanese glass and the scopes are assembled in Philippines.
