Looking at purchasing either a Burris Veracity PH gen 2 or an Eliminator 6. Any experience with these 2 scopes? Glass clarity, lowlight performance? How does the Eliminator 6 rangefinder do in less then ideal conditions like fog and rain and also in fields with CRP fields, brush, ex?

Also with the Veracity PH any experience with these 2.5-12x42 with the 3pw-moa reticle? Any pictures of minimum and maximum magnification would be helpful. How does the Veracity PH gen 2 glass compare to other scopes?

Had a PH Gen 2 3-15X42 that I used for half a coyote season but recently sold it as it would eat batteries in cold weather.
Glass clarity was excellent and the reticle was great at low power...very bold and easy to get on fur.
Illumination was good as well (when the battery wasn't dead)
Held zero banging around on my sled, dialed accurately out to 500yds.

I really wanted to love it but the battery life was dismal.
I would start at first light using a bit of Illumination and then halfway through the day even after manually turning it off it would be dead. You could install a fresh battery and watch it suck down in the display in temperatures 30f and below. Others have had the same issue if you scour the internet.

My buddy runs an Eliminator IV and goes nearly a whole season on a single set of batteries, many days when we are out wolf/coyote hunting it is around 0 and he never has a problem.
