The pictures below outline what happened to my Zulu’s today. I’ve had them less than a year and this makes me truly question the long term durability of the binos. The stabilization turns on but would be a pain with gloves.

Has anyone else ran into this problem? Did the Sig warranty cover it?

I haven’t but I never did like that switch. I feel like a button would have been better. Warranty should cover it no problem.

As long as the guts are solid, I wouldn't complain too much for the price.

They need to cut costs somewhere, and you found out where!

Just a follow up. Just packaged the optic up to send back to Sig. Customer service was ok remedy was just “snap,” it back on. I explained the part better and they agreed to warranty it. Sig is no Vortex when it comes to customer service but not horrible.

On a separate note I was worried the Image Stabilized was a crutch. After a successful bear hunt yesterday I can say I’m still an effective glasser with my trusty Maven binos.

Final update: Sig Warranty work is done. I got my old binos back and no replacement needed! Turn around was close to 2 weeks. Arguably competitive with Vortex. I do think as more companies come out with stabilized binos I’ll more than likely upgrade.

No issues with Sig and their warranty. Got a scratch on a lens that i'm sure i caused and they replaced it. Now have their rangefinder as well. Bought new at MT Tac a last year ago and didn't have to pay sales tax!

Just glue that sucker back on there. I'm sure that's what they did. Looks like you're pushing down hard on the lever and it's contacting the surface under it and gouging it out. Likely why it popped off. Losing the cover to the lever doesn't seem enough to question the binos as a whole to me but glad they got it fixed for you.
