Finally got a buck this season here in KY.

You guys got some special ones, but gotta post my first ever deer! Tonight was likely to be my last hunt of the season (a story for another thread), and I got this one with a little over an hour remaining before time was about to be up.

I messed up a few times this year (one missed shot and simply not being ready to get shots off on others), but I’m glad the season finished with me getting something.

Did this one from the ground too after spending the whole season in a stand.

Yeah I made sure to calm myself down before taking the shot (a lesson I learned on the first miss), and things coming together the way they did and then finding it.. it was almost a bit surreal in the moment.

North Idaho buck tonight....had targetted a bigger one, but that buck and this guy were both damn smart deer. Gave me about two weeks of cat and mouse. This fella finally slipped up.

Morning of 11/19, called in with a grunt call from 200+ yards. Third year running that I called in and shot a buck on my birthday. Shot on WV golf course.

This buck came in grunting back at my grunts. He was so pissed off at my grunt call that he destroyed two trees before he got close enough to shoot. Absolutely the coolest thing I’ve ever seen! He’s nothing huge but the experience was nothing short of amazing!
