Nice buck! The way that played out is a unicorn openerPA opener. First buck with my hand loads and easiest harvest. In the woods for 30 minutes, 50 yard shot and 100 yard drag.
I don’t even expect to get a buck once rifle starts. I usually push for others. That my first rifle buck in 17 years.Nice buck! The way that played out is a unicorn opener

Those are stud bucks for Idaho! Very nice!2023 and 2022 Idaho whitetails
Always hoping for a real whopper but given the circumstances I couldn't pass on either one. My goal for the last few years has been to tag a nice mule deer, but living in whitetail country I only get a handful of days to chase muleys each year. This year I plan on dedicating some more time and hopefully come across a big dark horned ghost. Those are stud bucks for Idaho! Very nice!
Good lord….just look at that rowdy crew!View attachment 629183passed on this guy in the AM and harvested him in the afternoon. Ran out of days and needed to fill my tag.
6.8 western 175gr at 150yrds. Solid broadside should crease pass through. Scary part was we could not locate a blood trail. Found him in the creek and try to back track his route after the shot. Zero blood, what the heck!
