We have a 9mo and an almost 3yo. My wife doesn’t wNt me to take him out yet, but I’m close to talking her in to letting me take him out squirrel hunting. Questionable if he’ll stay slow and quiet enough for squirrels but at least he’ll be out there with me.
Maybe I’ll pop him in the osprey for quail hunting.
The bearded ladies and a few of their friends were getting it done this last week! By the time the temps hit 70+ they were about toast and we’d have to head in. We still had 4+ days of great hunting before having to head home.
This was a special bird for me, for the past year the Dr's told me I would never be able to do this again. I was in a nasty wreck and coded twice for over 10mins each time, spent a month in a coma, followed by a month in a nursing home. My hip was totally obliterated due to the wreck and they left it shattered until may of this year when i got a full hip reconstruction that was so rough they deemed me non weight bearing until july..... so needless to say this was a milestone bird. The bird that nobody including myself thought would ever be. This is the first step to montana elk next year....
2022 has been very kind to Perry River Ranch in Presho, SD. Never know what to expect when breaking in a new pup. But the first few weeks have been great!
